I ran across the same message using the converter. I think it happens when you try to convert a file with a codec that DivX does not recognize. The video I tried to covert had an Intel codec that DivX refused to see.
There could be many different ways but I only know two:
Rerender the clip using a different, more recognizable codec
or
slap the unrecognized clip into something like windows movie maker or pinnacle studio and render out an .avi or some well known file type.
These methods have worked for me from personal experience, might not work on yours.
I just bought a Dell 1706fp from an electronics recycler and he gave me a 1704 that wasn’t working. Well the next day the 1706 stopped working too. Same thing- won’t power on. I got the 1704 totally disassembled so I guess I may try and buy some capacitors to try and fix them. I never soldered a capacitor before so let me learn how to detect a leaky capacitor first. If I wasn’t so broke I would just trash them and buy a new one. But people need to avoid buying the Dell monitors.
I haven’t quite got it yet, but I know I’m getting it

If you want HD, the DVD/VCR has to be HD. Other than that, just plug the output of the combo, to one of the inputs on the TV. Then on the TV, w/remote select the input.

I was honored last week to attend the Fourth Annual Law & Entrepreneurship Retreat, hosted by Gordon Smith at the BYU Law School. It was a wonderful collection of legal scholars who focus aspects of their teaching and scholarship on legal issues affecting entrepreneurs and innovation. Several of the papers and much of the general discussion considered innovation, particularly whether we can or should attempt to regulate innovation and related risks. The economic crisis provided the general context for this discussion; should we restrict or monitor innovation in the financial industry and, if so, how can we perform those tasks effectively?
I was struck by several things during the conference, including the universal and recurring nature of the innovation conundrum. I realized as we were debating solutions [...]

Mitsubishi makes all sorts of electronics and hardware that it sells to consumers and to other manufacturers who use Mitsubishi components in their own computers and displays. The LCD arm of the electronics giant called Mitsubishi Electric has announced its new 19.2-inch TFT-LCD module that has a strange aspect ratio. Typical LCDs have aspect ratios of 4:3 or 16:9 on most computers and notebooks with some large screens providing a 16:10 aspect ratio. The new Mitsubishi AA192AA01 TFT-LCD module has an aspect ratio of 16:3. The company says the odd aspect ratio is designed for use in kiosks, information monitors, and gaming systems. The screen measures 496.5mm W x 109.2mm H and has a native resolution of 1920 x 360. The module is backlit with white LEDs and has a luminance rating of 500 cd/m2. The contrast ratio for the LCD is 700:1 and the pixel pitch is 0.249. The screen supports up to 16.77M colors in 8-bit mode. Mitsubishi will ship the screen on April 1 in Europe and Asia at a…

My family had a Beta throughout most of the 80’s (even after that accursed VHS format took over). Even as a kid I noticed how much clearer Beta was compared to VHS in resolution, and it even had better sound quality! Also, our Beta player RARELY broke down (like ONCE in the 8 years we had it!) After we (reluctantly) switched to VHS, we had to take the inferior player in to be serviced every few years. Most of all, I have to say my fondest memories of our BetaMax were all the movies we enjoyed
I recommend the Dell G2410. It's a 24-inch LED monitor which will work with your iMac (though you need to buy an adapter to connect it). It costs around $300 but has image quality comparable to the $800 Apple LED Cinema Display.
first of all what's your budget for this then you will decide the configuration
