I rated this monitor 5 stars because of the bang for the buck.
Pros:
Sharp
Great price
Very bright
Great refresh rate
Cons:
Does seem a little small if you have been on a 24inch iMac but what doesn’t?
Review:
I bought this monitor for our backup computer which is an old Gateway PC running Ubuntu (free computer operating system based on Debian GNU/Linux). The old CRT monitor was over 10 years old and was fading into history not to mention it was huge, hot and took a lot of energy.
This computer is mainly used to check e-mails, surf the web etc. and I use it to check how photos I re size on the big iMac look on a smaller screen. So I thought this little 17″ should be just the ticket.
Setup:
I unpacked it plugged it in and bang it was up and running!! No need to do anything all the settings were perfect right out of the box.
Conclusion:
If you are looking for an easy to setup 17″ LCD monitor and want bang for the buck this is it!!!
I highly recommend.
10-27-2008 Update:
This little monitor continues to impress me. It seems almost as sharp and bright as my 24inch iMac which has always been my bench mark for the perfect monitor. But it’s a heck of a lot cheaper. How do they make the price this low and the quality this good?
Pros: excellent picture, fast refresh, compact size, very little heat generation, wide viewing angles, looks nice.
Cons: have run it near constantly for a month playing games and surfing with no problems yet so it may have none
I purchased this for my 78 year old mother to replace her old, CRT monitor. I purchased it 1.) for the low, low price 2.) on the basis of two positive customer reviews. Exceeding all possible expectations, the monitor arrived in her home within two business days — free freight. She hooked it up by herself and is babblingly ecstatic with the results. (“I don’t even have to use my glasses to read it!!”)

So Acer’s new Aspire 3811TZ and Aspire 3811TZG may not be puke-green like Sony’s VAIO W Eco, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t some of the greenest — as in eco-friendly — laptops out there. Part of the company’s thin-and-light Timeline series, the two 13.3-inch laptops have been named by Greenpeace as being completely free of those bad-for-the-environment materials, including PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and BFR (brominated flame retardants). Powered by Intel ULV Core 2 Duo CPUs, they are more power-efficient than most and last longer on a charge. There doesn’t seem to be an official statement from Acer on availability and price on these models, but we assume like the rest of the Timeline bunch there will be models both north and south of a grand.

I was at CES and I can say this is an incredibly crowded space. Dlink already have a device, and Marvell will have one in Home Depot in Q1 2010. Add to that the rumors of Apple coming into play in this area. Not sure how many startups will survive in this one.

You could get any size rims that you may want for your car, but to play it safe go with the 17" rims.
If you want 18" rims and don't want your tires to scrape your chassis, you could always do a professional chassis pull.
If you just want the eRecovery feature take a look at Norton Ghost or Acronis True Image. Both programs can take an image of your computer and use it later to restore it.

Newer 17inch tires, 6 cd changer, leather heated seat, wery good condition.

Look along the inside edge of the tire, along the rim. It will tell you the tire pressure in PSI. (pounds per square inch) Most of the later model cars run 35 PSI in the tires. You can also look in the owners manual if you have one under tire pressure.

First has your acer got bluetooth ? If not use a usb lead and you get better transfers, than by bluetooth.

The cheapest around would be the "memorex" brand. They start out at $50 dollars —> memorex 3202 ext dvd-rw. If you don't plan on carrying it around, then it would suit you just fine. But if you are a student like I am and want to have it just in case, I suggest adding another $20 dollar to your base price and go with either a samsung or liteon brand. Both are slim and light and draws power from the usb cables where as the memorex is nearly triple in size and uses draws power using dc power cables. If weight clearly isn't the issue and you probably will leave it at the house, then I say go for the memorex. But if you have some intentions of carrying it with you half of the and is having a hard time finding power source, I would recommend you going with some other brand. Total including taxes you are looking to spend close to $80 dollars. For that price, I recommend you just by the Acer One accessory kit; which includes slim ext dvd-rw, wireless mouse and case for $100. Considering that carrying case cost nearly $20 dollars and a wireless mouse is another $20, I would just go for the Acer kit. For netbook users, I totally recommend something slim and small and that it draws power from the usb cable rather than fighting over another starbuck guy for usage of extra outlet. Comparing the disadvantages and advantages of both, it would be a smarter choice to go with the slim line series of ext dvd burner.
P.S. Because every manufacturer has its own software that is supplied with the product, I suggest you check it and be familiarize with the software being bundle with the package as some software are not user friendly and that can cause a lot of agony (going back to store for refund…complaining about not being able to use software and etc.) Because newer ext burner these days all come with lightscribe as one of their feature, it is also crucial that if you already have an existing software, that it is capable of using the feature "lightscribe". If not, then you may want to upgrade or use the bundle package that came with the product you purchased.
